Carolinéale is a contemporary humanist sans serif family originating from a research project into the Carolingian Minuscule of the 8th and 9th centuries, as well as on the musical notation systems of the time. The resulting type balances contemporary elegance with a hint of medieval calligraphy as a comfortably legible text face and a powerful display type.
